The menu included a range of traditional meat pies (mainly beef as well chicken and lamb) but also some non-meat pies and even gluten-free options, all of which were accompanied by mash potatoes. The meals were wholesome and filling, and very tasty with the brown gravy that came along with each plate. There are dining areas both downstairs and upstairs (greater capacity with latter), which are are fairly no-frills. Do note that plates (collected downstairs) are hot, so a little care is needed if carrying the food upstairs.

Pastry was hard at the edges, mash had no butter in it and the gravy was tasteless. Was so looking forward to an inspiring meal but left underwhelmed. I suppose if you shifted a meal with double pie it would get you through the afternoon on a manual job. Seriously if they had pies from our local tripe and sandwich shop particularly the steak and cowheel broken over the back of buttered mash the turnover would double.
